Welcome to
Pittwater High School P & C Association
Pittwater High School has an active Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) that contributes significantly to the life of the school and the many opportunities that are offered to students. The P&C is made up of a small, but dedicated core of parents/carers, who meet once a month with the school's Principal, and at times various members of staff, to discuss and plan how best the P&C can aid the school's current and future needs.
Substantial financial support is just one way in which the P&C assists the school. This is achieved, in part, through fundraising activities, but mostly through the profit received from our canteen and uniform shop sub-committees. These funds contribute towards the purchase of educational resources and equipment, and to improvements within the school's grounds.
Another important aspect of the P&C is to be the parent voice contributing to policy- making decisions within the school. The P&C creates a forum for parents to voice their opinions, discuss options and initiate change.
Opportunities exist for parents/carers to participate in a number of sub-committees of the P&C, such as Canteen, Uniform Shop, Band (PHS Music Ensembles), Sailing, and other small committees that arise from time to time. Please go to 'links' at top of page for further information.
Parents
and members of the local community are warmly welcome to become active members
of the Pittwater High School P&C Association. Meetings are held in the school
library on the fourth Wednesday of each month, commencing at 7.30pm
